Canon 70D : Smart and Elegant HD DSLR

In these recent years, more and more professionals and amateurs find themselves into an era of new genre in videography that uses the current DSLRs that supports HD Video capability and Canon is probably by far is the best manufacturer in its class wouldn't you agree? One of the infamous and legendary HD DSLR are the 5D Mark III- Having a good video camera, great lighting setups, solid post-productions, and through the use of high quality lenses, even an amateur can produce a cinema like quality productions!

Canon have released their latest workhorse for HD Video DSLR, the Canon EOS 70D which replaces its previous model, the Canon EOS 60D which backdates to 2010 models. Their latest production will surely satisfy pro-sumer DSLR fans who are just getting into HD DSLR Videography. Priced at 1,200$ for body only, the 70D sits just right between the Rebel T5i (750$ body only) and the EOS 7D (1500$ body only).

While we can see a lot of improvements overall, the main killer features that needs to be speak about is their latest technology that provide faster autofocus, which is very useful for HD videos.

Nikon D3200 Review

Are you a fan of Nikon DSLRs? Well, you're up for a good news from them as they hit the markets with their latest entry-level DSLR, which most Malaysians care not to know about? Just kidding, we love Nikon DSLRs and we know about them too!

The Nikon D3200 is currently the latest generations of the Nikon's entry-level DSLR line-ups. Featuring the latest 24MP CMOS Sensor, which gives it the right to stand tall as one of the highest pixel counts entry-level DSLR using the APS-C sensors in the market. It might not be a ground breaking revolutionary for the current DSLR technology but it is very competitive.

Nikon D3200 Specs Highlights

  • 24MP CMOS Sensor
  • ISO 100-6400(+ ISO 12,800)
  • EXPEED 3 Image Processor (Same as the Nikon D4)
  • 3.0" screen with 920k dot screen
  • Full HD 1080p with 30 frames per second. (comes with 24p and 25p options)
  • Microphone Sockets
  • Twin IR remote receivers
  • 4 frame per second continuous shooting
  • Guide mode (very helpful for beginners)
Compared to it's previous models, the D3100, there is a lot of changes that we can expect especially from the pixel count, Full HD Movie, it's imaging processor. But what makes it a lot more worth looking is the option to upgrade for a Wi-Fi Transmitter that really takes it up a little notch especially for the cameras in the entry-level range.

Size and weight

From the size factor, it does feel a little bit smaller than the D3100. I don't really know why the manufacturer decided to go with this but I'm guessing that maybe they wanted to create a more light version of DSLR so that it is easy to carry.

Ease of Use

Of course, there is no other easy camera to use than the entry-level range as they have the Guide Mode Which helps us to understand on how to use the camera with ease.

So my verdict of this DSLR? It's worth the buy as for beginners who are looking for a great DSLR to start with which have lots of great features in it. Do you own this camera? If you do, please share your thoughts about this camera with the rest of us.

Canon 7D Mark III dah mok keluar taun tok?

Admin nenga cerita dah da mok keluar gik model baru Canon EOS 7D Mark II (maybe nama lain). Rami dalam forum2 photogpraphy madah akan kelua ujung summer (September 2013), kedak time 5D Mark III kelua taun lepas.
Sidak  pun ada mention something pasal maybe ada kemungkinan 3 prototype config and salah satu yg paling logik dipike sidak is
Specifications
  • 24.1mp APS-C Sensor
  • Dual DIGIC V
  • 10fps
  • Dual Memory Card Slots (Unknown configuration)
  • 61 AF Points (I wonder if we’ll get red focus points in AIS?)
  • 3.2″ LCD
  • Build quality like 5D3
  • GPS & Wifi
  • $2199 or RM 67++ (expected price)
  • ISO Performance to get close to the 5D3
  • “Lots of video features”
Actually sidak Canon maok molah kedak mini EOS-1D X tapi dengan upgrade yg lebih bagus.. And paling2 spec yg sidak akan tuka is sensor nya , sebab kinek ada banyak APS-C sensors available dalam list sidak. And most probably akan kelua 24 MP.. rasa nya x kot nya make full frame camera. most probably sidak canon akan ngkah  crop sensor. sebab lie 7d sebelum tok adalah crop sensor. mun canon 5d mark iii n keatas is full frame right? if salah tolong betolkan. hehe.

Canon 7D Mark II Out Soon?

First spec list in a long time for a Canon EOS 7D Mark II (maybe different name) from a known source in a while this weekend. Most people are now saying that this camera is probably being announced at the end of summer, with availability almost right away like the EOS 5D Mark III.
It was also mentioned that their could be as many as 3 prototype configurations of the camera out there, and this one of them.
Specifications
  • 24.1mp APS-C Sensor
  • Dual DIGIC V
  • 10fps
  • Dual Memory Card Slots (Unknown configuration)
  • 61 AF Points (I wonder if we’ll get red focus points in AIS?)
  • 3.2″ LCD
  • Build quality like 5D3
  • GPS & Wifi
  • $2199 or RM 67++ (expected price)
  • ISO Performance to get close to the 5D3
  • “Lots of video features”
As we’ve been told before, this camera will basically be a mini EOS-1D X, and with that, comes a price increase. It was also stressed that about the only spec that may change is the sensor, as they have a few APS-C sensors available. I wonder about the megapixel count, though if Canon gets back to making industry leading sensors, I have no doubt 24mp could be a real winner.
